| ctfmon_no.exe is a filename that has appeared recently in several infections of a Trojan Horse Virus, which has following characteristics. 1) Adds a filectfmon_no.exe in the system dir 2) Registers a Browser Helper Object 3) Injects ctfmon_no.exe in the execution sequence of ctfmon.exe This article provides thorough detection and removal instructions. In order to make detection difficult it adds one more file as a DLL in the System dir. The filename begins with hq followed by five random numbers. therefore the DLL file gets a different name in each instance of the infection. Here are some samples %System%\hq21110.dll see report
